Steveston is a small, lovely little village about 45 minutes out of Vancouver. It used to be a small fishing/canning village, now it is a heritage site. It is chalk full of history, and charm.

There is a fabulous paved walk that weaves around a series of parks all along the water. It is child and dog friendly, lots of space to fly kites, kick around a ball or have a picnic.
It also has the best fish and chips – too bad I never got around to taking a picture!
Happy discovery,

It is very calm, but can get crazy in the middle of the summer.
