Horses, are incredible beings. I live in an area where there are more horses than humans, we hear them on surrounding trails, we watch as an ambulance has shown up at our neighbors, and we have watched neighbors grieve over the loss of one of their gentle giant family members.

Some stables are left abandoned long ago, the grief is too strong. Buildings are left to decay, fences are left to crumble.

“A good rider can hear his horse speak to him, a great rider can hear his horse whisper, but a bad rider won’t hear his horse even if it screams at him.” – unknown

“Sometimes what seems like surrender isn’t surrender at all. It’s about what’s going on in our hearts. About seeing clearly the way life is and accepting it and being true to it, whatever the pain, because the pain of not being true to it is far, far greater. ”
― Nicholas Evans

Annie: I’ve heard you help people with horse problems.
Tom Booker: Truth is, I help horses with people problems.

This property is still loved, just not used the way it was meant to be.
